As well as being a licensed realtor, Laurie Rankin Carl holds a bachelors degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Houston. Carls background in design and construction has enhanced her abilities in the brokering of previously owned homes as well as new construction. After determining the needs of a buyer or seller, she is able to make suggestions to sellers for marketing improvements while directing buyers to renovations that would make a property work for them.
I can walk into a resale home and know that it does not have all of the qualities my buyers want, but I can show them what they can achieve by redesigning it, Carl said. And with my construction background I can give them an idea of the pricing that might be involved in remodeling.
Carl enjoys working with people to assist them in finding a home whether new or older that suits their lifestyle. Friends are often clients, but even more often, clients become friends.
